Texas has a few women artists who were well known, many others who had outstanding talent, but haven’t been fully recognized. Victoria and Light Cummins, both of whom taught at Austin College, have put together an award-winning book, Making the Unknown Known: Women in early Texas Art, 1860s-1960s. On JuneĀ 5, they’ll share their findings with us, and we’ll enjoy a tasty Italian buffet dinner together.
Jack Davis and Scott Grant Barker, who also contributed to the project, will also be present to sign books along with Vicki and Light.
