The Tarrant County Historical Society works to enrich our knowledge of history, to preserve historical sites and historical places, and to facilitate access to all historical materials relating to Tarrant County.
To support this mission, the Society offers small grants (generally $500 to $1,000) related to a project that focuses on one of these aspects of Fort Worth or Tarrant County history. Most grants are awarded to nonprofit historical organizations but, at its discretion, the grants committee may make an award to an individual whose project will make a substantial contribution to our community’s history.
Grant proposals are accepted each spring. Proposals should be for a specific project or use rather than a list of possible projects or a general operations request. To receive an announcement when the grant cycle opens, send a request to:
Tarrant County Historical Society
PO Box 470251
Fort Worth, TX 76107
Those who have previously received announcements do not need to send a request. The request to receive a grant announcement should contain your name, the name of the organization, and your address, telephone number, and email address.
